Hi, my name is Caity and I LOVE books. I live in Vermont with my mom, dad, sisters and dog Scout (above). One of my favorite books is called The Mysterious Benidict Society and I would recommend it to anyone who likes mysteries, puzzles and action. In my spare time I enjoy softball, basketball, playing with my dog , reading, writing and playing my saxophone. When I grow up I would like to be English teacher/author or a vet. My goal this school year is to read 7 DCF books and 30 regular book. Wish me luck!

DCF

                                                             Found

I read Found by Margaret Peterson Haddix. If you are interested in time travel this is the book for you. 13 year old Jonah has always known he was adopted but just never knew were it was he came from. Imagine how shocked he was when he found out he was adopted from the past! Suddenly Jonah is caught in between two opposing forces,to bad they're both evil. This is an awesome book but you really need to be able to concentrate on it because if you miss any of it the rest of the book will be very confusing.

                                                              Warning: SERIOUS PAGE TURNER.

DCF

                                                     The Hunger Games

I read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and it's a really good book but I disliked the romance. This book is about a cruel 'Future America' where all children between the ages of twelve and eighteen are added into a contest, but it's not a pleasure contest. One girl and one boy from each of the twelve districts are chosen to take place in the annual Hunger Games,a fight to death that is played live on national television. Katniss was not supposed to go, it was supposed to be her twelve year old sister Prim, but Katniss could not bear to see her go. Soon enough Katniss is placed in the battle field and she starts to question herself as not only a person but a friend. This is a story about a teenagers struggle to keep her and her loved ones alive. My favorite thing about the book is that it got me thinking about how I would feel in this position. I know that I would be scared.

                                                                               Rapunzel's  Revenge

DCF

When I started reading this book I  was expecting the regular beautiful, helpless princess who counted on everyone arround her to save the day but this is nothing like that. Rapunzel always thought the queen was her mother but an uncanny coincident leads to her finding out that she was taken from her mother as punishment. Asking to many questions leads to Rapunzel being locked in a tall tower for years where her hair grows long. But Rapunzel know she has to leave when the queen stops feeding her. When Rapunzel meet's someone quite like herself she decides to take chances and go on the adventure of a lifetime.

I have never really liked graphic novels before but this book was good.

                                                                                 Diamond Willow

DCF

I just finished reading Diamond Willow by Helen Frost and I thought it was an awesome book especially for those who love dogs. This book was mainly about a girl named Willow and her desperateness to save her beloved dog, Roxy, who later turns out to be a reincarnation of Willow's twin sister, Diamond. It all starts when Willow decides to take Roxy and a couple of the other dogs in her dad's dog team on her first solo ride to her grandparents but it's all downhill from here. On the way back home Roxy gets blinded and the vet says they should put her down. But then Willow finds out that Roxy is not really blind and in order to save her must convince her parents to keep her as a house dog. When I read this book I really got a sense of how much Willow loves her dog and was surprised at how well the author was able to describe it. Awesome book!!

                                                                               The Leanin' Dog

 DCF

I recently finished the book The Leanin' Dog by K.A. Nuzem. It was a really good book about overcoming ones

Caity. Nice formatting-- very coloful and interesting! You may have a future in web design...I also really like how you linked out to the humane society website-- that's the nature of the wiki-- to connect to all sorts of great things. I added a count to your DCF count. Looks like you are ready to review "Rapunzel's Revenge"? Looking forward to it. :)
